Basic Crunch
Among the many abdominal exercises made available to average individuals, the Basic Crunch is almost certainly one of the most well known and most widely utilized. The Basic Crunch is known for its ability to help participants flatten stomach muscles by strengthening and toning them. While most of us would claim to know quite well how to perform the Basic Crunch, it is actually important that the exercise be done correctly in order to ensure good results and to avoid injury or strain on the muscles and joints in the neck and back.
The right way to do a Basic Crunch begins with lying on one’s back with knees bent and hands behind the head. Most people know this. When lifting up and forward, individuals must contract their abs and flatten the curve of lower back against the floor. The shoulder blades only need to be lifted about one to two inches off the floor, and it is important that individuals not pull on their necks but instead keep their necks straight and keep their chins up. Finally, it is also important to keep one’s abdominal muscles contracted while slowly lowering the upper body back down to floor, repeating the motion over and over again in order to significantly flatten stomach regions.
Reverse Crunch
There are quite a few exercise regimens, routines, and programs that are designed to focus on helping participants flatten stomach regions. Some of the most well known routines are basic exercises, such as the Reverse Crunch. The Reverse Crunch is said to specifically target a muscle known as the rectus abdominis. It runs along the middle of the abdomen and is largely responsible for the six pack look.
To perform a Reverse Crunch one must lie on the floor in a manner quite similar to that required for the performance of a normal abdominal crunch, with one’s back flat on the floor and knees bent. However, instead of placing his or her hands behind the head, the individual places them flat on the floor at his or her sides. Then, instead of leaning forward and raising the upper body, the participant raises his or her legs at the hips, bringing the thighs to an upright position and bringing the knees to a 90 degree angle. Along with giving participants the chance to flatten stomach muscles, the Reverse Crunch may help them avoid strain and pain in the neck and back sometimes associated with a normal crunch.
Superman
Superheroes are often known for a number of things, including superpowers and incredible physiques, whether in live action or animated forms. But that is not why the abdominal exercise known as the Superman has the name that it does. Rather, the Superman is an abdominal workout that aims to flatten stomach regions by making the participant appear to be striking a superhero pose.
Performing the Superman involves kneeling on the ground with knees at a hips’ width apart and palms on the ground at shoulders’ width apart. The spine should be angled upward, and the thighs should be just about perpendicular to the floor. Then, without allowing the body to sway either way, the individual contracts his or her abdominal muscles, raises the right arm straight out forward, and stretches the left leg straight out backward. Slowly raising the appendages will work the abdominal and lower back muscles, helping to flatten stomach areas. The motion is repeated with the opposite arm and leg, and it will need to be done a certain number of times in order to constitute a full set. As with any exercise, the more often the Superman is performed, the more repetitions one will be able to do in each set. Plank
While many abdominal exercises involve performing a particular motion, such as a crunch or a variation thereof, the Plank is an exercise that actually requires no active motion on the part of the participant, but it can still be helpful for giving people the opportunity to flatten stomach regions. The Plank is sometimes used in yoga workouts and is designed to strengthen the abdominal and lower back muscles, which are also called the body’s core muscles.
Doing the Plank, which is also called a hover, involves lying flat on one’s belly. Then the participant puts his or her body into a push up position, with feet together and toes on the ground. Yet, instead of resting on his or her palms, the individual rests on his or her forearms, with the upper part of the arm perpendicular to the floor. By keeping one’s body straight and rigid and holding this position for at least ten seconds, the individual will be utilizing the muscles of the midsection and lower back. The Plank is harder than it may look, and individuals will likely need to work up to hold times of twenty, thirty, or even sixty seconds. In order to increase the chance of flatten stomach muscles, some people may modify the Plank by slowly raising one leg or arm at a time.

Here’s a quick quide you can follow to help flatten your stomach. Print this list out and post it somewhere in your house where you’ll see it. 1. Walk/jog for 30 minutes at least 3 times per week to boost your metabolism in order to burn that fat. 2. Limit your sugar intake. Sugar adds empty calories and promotes weight gain.Learn how to minimize sugar in your diet. 3. Purchase a Pilates DVD and do the exercises at least 2-3 times per week. Pilates works on toning your entire body with concentration on your powerhouse (middle section) and will improve your flexibility. 4. Add fiber to your diet and cut down your intake of the bad carbs. Foods such as white bread, pastas, potatoes, and white rice should be limited. Eat brown rice and whole wheat bread instead. To get that needed fiber increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables (especially the leafy green ones). 5. Drink skim milk instead of whole milk. Keep your dairy intake at a minimum because these products often cause bloating and gas. 6. Perform proper crunches at least 3 times a week to train your abs. Avoid sit-ups because they really do very little to firm your stomach. Sit-ups work your hip flexors more than anything else. 7. Drink plenty of water. You should be drinking 6 to 8 glasses per day. Not only will it help fill you up so you eat less, but it aids in digestion. 8. Stop eating within 3 hours of bedtime. If you have to munch on something, eat a small portion of vegetables or fruit. Not eating late can make a huge difference. 9. Eat smaller meals more often instead of 2-3 big meals per day to keep from having that bloated look and feeling. Eating more meals actually kicks up your metabolism. 10. Take a break from healthy eating once in a while and treat yourself to your favorite dessert. If you completely deprive yourself of the foods you love you’ll run the risk of going back to your bad eating habits. Moderation is the key. http://www.flat-stomach-exercises.com/flat-stomach-tips.html10 Tummy Flattening Tips

How Satan operates Satan has control over large sectors of the world, his strategy is multi-pronged approach, he does not just attack from one angle. He comes from many diverse parts of society, Satan is at war with God and those who are saved, we can never forget this. It is to our own peril when put down our guards against him. [This is very important to remember] Satan goes after the mind, since the physical world is merely where the tangible events are seen. Satan attacks the way people think, for this reason he seeks access to the area in our life, where can gain control of our thinking. This is why we are told about those who are perishing without Christ, how Satan accomplishes his work. He has “Blinded” their “Minds”, so they will not believe. This is not just about religion, its about all aspects of thinking. Satan is a lion on the hunt, looking for prey. 3 “But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose Minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.” 2 Corinthians 4:4 Satan will use every tool at his disposal to prevent people from seeing the Gospel. Its no accident that Jesus is mocked in the media, the Bible barred from work and schools. Christians are ridiculed because Satan’s goal is to blind the lost. Our job is to rescue the lost, to bring them into the kingdom. This is also why, we as Christians need to equip ourselves to pull down the lies Satan has established in the hearts and minds of those in our circle of influence. We are at war too, against the works of Satan. \ Another strategy Satan uses is religion, Satan to counter the gospel, will offer a counterfeit “truth” complete with another “Jesus”. Islam and Mormonism, have a “Jesus” as part of their faith, they also have their own prophets. The Muslim Jesus and Mormon Jesus is an another Jesus, now if you asked a Muslim or Mormon, they would tell you, “I believe in Jesus too!”. The problem is, their Jesus is not the Jesus of the bible, its the creation of their false prophets, Mohammad and Joseph Smith. 4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted-you may well put up with it!13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works” 2 Corinthians 11:4,13-15 On the Day of Judgment, those who put faith in false Jesus and a false gospel will be confronted with their error. Jesus says on that day he will tell them, he “Never” knew them. There was never a relationship, this is the goal of Satan, he is at war for the souls of humanity. 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” Matthew 7:15,21-23 This is Satan’s plan of attack, one method is to prevent people from seeing the Gospel, by attacking religion and faith, the other is to embarrass religion, but present a false “Gospel”. Satan is at war, the Bible is our sword in this battle for the souls of humanity. We need to learn to use the weapons provided. Satan wages war on many scales; here are some his strategies; Tomorrow: Satan the accuser
Bullies and mean girls have been around forever, but technology has given them a whole new platform for their actions. As adults, we’re becoming more aware that the “sticks and stones” adage no longer holds true; virtual name-calling can have real-world effects on the well being of kids and teens.
It’s not always easy to know how and when to step in as a parent. For starters, our kids tend to use technology differently than we do. Many spend a lot of time on social networking sites, send text messages and instant messages (IMs) by the hundreds, and are likely to roll their eyes at the mention of email — that’s “so old-school” to them. Their knowledge and habits can be intimidating, but they still need us as parents.
Fortunately, our growing awareness of cyberbullying has helped us learn a lot more about how to prevent it. Here are some suggestions on what to do if online bullying has become part of your child’s life.
What Is Cyberbullying?
Cyberbullying is the use of technology to harass, threaten, embarrass, or target another person. By definition, it occurs among young people. When an adult is involved, it may meet the definition of cyber-harassment or cyber-stalking, a crime that can have legal consequences and involve jail time.
Sometimes cyberbullying can be clear-cut. For example, leaving overtly cruel cell phone text messages or mean notes posted to Web sites. Other acts are less obvious, such as impersonating a victim online or posting personal information or videos designed to hurt or embarrass another child.
Cyberbullying also can happen accidentally. The impersonal nature of text messages, IMs, and emails make it very hard to detect the sender’s tone — one teen’s joke or sense of humor could be another’s devastating insult. Nevertheless, a repeated pattern of emails, text messages, and online posts is rarely accidental.
A 2006 poll from the national organization Fight Crime: Invest in Kids found that 1 in 3 teens and 1 in 6 preteens have been the victims of cyberbullying. As more and more youths have access to computers and cell phones, the incidence of cyberbullying is likely to rise.
No longer limited to schoolyards or street corners, modern-day bullying can happen at home as well as at school — essentially 24 hours a day. And, for kids who are being cyberbullied, it can feel like there’s no escape. Severe cyberbullying can leave victims at greater risk for anxiety, depression, and other stress-related disorders. In very rare cases, some kids have turned to suicide. The punishment for cyberbullies can include being suspended from school or kicked off of sports teams. Certain types of cyberbullying also may violate school codes or even anti-discrimination or sexual harassment laws. Many kids and teens who are cyberbullied are reluctant to tell a teacher or parent, often because they feel ashamed of the social stigma, or because they fear their computer privileges will be taken away at home. The signs that a child is being cyberbullied vary, but a few things to look for are: If you discover that your child is being cyberbullied, be sure to discuss how it feels. Offer assurance that it’s not your child’s fault. Talking to teachers or school administrators also may help. Many schools, school districts, and after-school clubs have established protocols for responding to cyberbullying; these vary by district and state. But before reporting the problem, let your child know that you plan to do so, as he or she could have concerns about “tattling” and might prefer that the problem be handled at home. Other measures to try: If your child agrees, you may also arrange for mediation with a therapist or counselor at school who can work with your child and/or the bully. Finding out that your child is the one who is behaving inappropriately can be upsetting and heartbreaking. It’s important to address the problem head on and not wait for it to go away. Talk to your child firmly about his or her actions and explain the negative impact it has on others. Joking and teasing might seem OK, but it can hurt people’s feelings and lead to getting in trouble. Bullying — in any form — is unacceptable; there can be serious (and sometimes irrevocable) consequences at home, school, and in the community if it continues. Remind your child that the use of cell phones and computers is a privilege. Sometimes it helps to restrict the use of these devices until behavior improves. If you feel your child should have a cell phone for safety reasons, make sure it is a phone that can only be used for emergency purposes. To get to the heart of the matter, sometimes talking to teachers, guidance counselors, and other school officials can help identify situations that lead your child to bully others. If mismanaged anger is a problem, talk to a doctor about helping your child learn to cope with anger, hurt, frustration, and other strong emotions in a healthy way. Professional counseling often helps kids learn to deal with their feelings and improve their social skills, which in turn can curb bullying.
